Savannah Moving Rules, Permits & Weather
Truck Parking & Permits in Savannah
The Savannah village offices handle curb and street questions; on most residential streets a moving truck in your driveway or a legal curb spot needs no permit.
Homes, Buildings & HOAs
Savannah is mostly small-village homes. We walk the access during the quote so the crew size and truck size fit the house.
Weather & Road Conditions
South of the main snowbelt, Savannah sees more freeze-thaw than heavy snow; icy mornings on driveways and hills are the usual winter factor. During the spring thaw, Ohio townships and counties can post temporary weight limits on local roads; we check postings for our route. Across the county: Ashland County is college-town Ashland, the Mohican hills around Loudonville and Perrysville, and farm country between them.
How a Savannah Move Works
Our crews reach Savannah on SR 545 and SR 96, about 50 minutes from Doylestown. Savannah is mostly small-village homes.
Savannah is about 9 road miles from Ashland, the Ashland County seat, and covers ZIP 44874. Moves from Savannah to Ashland or anywhere else in the county run on the same written estimate and hourly rate.
Moves in Savannah are planned by the same crews that work Ashland (about 9 mi), Wooster (about 31 mi) and Seville (about 32 mi), so local knowledge of Savannah village and the roads in and out comes with the truck.
